In November & December 2007 I travelled around New Zealand, firstly with a small organised group from the Bay of Islands to Christchurch (see below). This initial trip was with ‘Oz Exposure’ travelling in a minibus and staying in hostels. Then later by myself I spent time in the Banks Peninsula at Akaroa before hiring a car to drive down from Christchurch to the southern tip of New Zealand via Oamaru, Dunedin, Invercargill and Bluff. Flying back to the north Island from Queenstown I drove from Auckland around the Coromandel Peninsula, along the Bay of Plenty to Whakatane and across country through Rotarua to Raglan spending Christmas on a sheep station in Glen Murray.
